Hi,

Needing help where to start.

I got married here in the Philippines, however my ex wife lives in USA now for almost 9 or 10 years. She filed a divorce last 2010 and there was a dissolution order released.

I have read na if you marry a foreigner and that person filed a divorce kung san sya naka-base na I can file at the regional trial court ng change of status instead of going through annulment process. Is this correct?

I really need help on this.

Hope someone can answer my question.

Salamat. Merry Christmas and Happy new year!

Well. Foreigners are counted as foreigner, when you are married to a Filipino too,
but then there are some EXTRA options concerning (mainly) VISA.
These EXTRA options you will lose (sure one, I suppouse all)
BUT you can still stay in the Philippines with an OTHER type of VISA.
