Last Sunday August 28, 2016 my family was hit by a car at SLEX , 2:38 in the morning. All of my family members are in the car. A car bumped the rear portion of our car and our driver lost his control and collided with a tree. Luckily, no fatal scenario was obtained by the victims bruises and fractures where also suffered. Our car was totally damage during the accident. 6 persons where injured. The suspect flew and run away without even checking the victims of the incident.
Luckily, the vehicle of the suspect stop and was caught by the highway patrol police. We are definite that the driver is drunk at that time.
My question is.
1. What should be our first move?
2. Should we hire a lawyer to file a case?
3. They are asking us an amicable settlement, should we agree?
4. We have not yet received any feedback about the terms.
5. What is the terms should we raise on the settlement.
