Hi good day,
i need help, i have a 5years old son his father and i did not get married and did not stay together.after i give birth i met some one and we got married last dec19 2009.now my husband want to change my sons last name to his.will the process will be just simply change of name or adoption? hope i can hear from your responce asap. thank you

it will have to be adoption. you should do it jointly so that he will also be your legitimate child.

thank you.so how will we start first?wats the first procedure?is ther any way we can ask hepl for free or low cost charges ...howmuch it will cost us?

you can inquire at the PAO, or legal aid offices of the IBP and law schools. good luck.
