child support

I have the same issues with the women who are not receiving financial support from ex-husband(legally married). I just want to confirm if I need to get an attorney from the location that we are from-that was advised by a friend who's an attorney but I can't reach her now. Kung taga san po ba kami nakatira don dapat ako kumuha ng attorney kasi don if-file yung case. Gnon po ba yun? Halimbawa, taga Batangas kami, don lang ako pwede kumuha ng attorney?
Salamat din at marami ako natutunan sa mga naka post dito na nakapagpatibay ng loob ko at nagka pag-asa na me lab an ako at me magagawa para sa karapatan ng anak ko.

an attorney is licensed to appear in any court in the philippines. a lawyer from batanes can appear in jolo. but there is merit in getting a local lawyer because they may are familiar with the people. but in my experience, it is not always a great advantage.

Oh, I see...what if I filed a case like for abandonment & child support, & the father of my son still refused to give financial support. But I know he has a stable job. In fact, all his relatives including his mother, informed me about that-his job. Do I have a chance? or can he refuse even if I do it the legal way? Thank you.

did he sign your child's birth certificate? how will you prove that he is the father?

if you can show or make it appear that his refusal to provide support is intended to control you, then you can file a criminal case economic abuse under ra 9262. or you can file a civil case for filiation and support.

pwede po bang idepensa ko na lang sarili ko kasi po wala na po time kung hahanap pa po ako ng ibang lawyer? and right now po may kabit na po sya at may mga photos po nila ako na nakuha kasama pa po ang buong pamilya ng husband ko.pwede ko na po ba yun magamit na proof para kasuhan ko sila ng kabit nya? and resident po sya ng singapore may makukuha po sya na $80k NGAYUN po later part ng feb CPF po ang tawag sa singapore pwede ko po ba iclaim yun sa court na hatian kami? and claim po nya na anu support ang ibibigay nya wala na sya trabaho, pero alam ko po may mga hidden properties sya kaya lang sa mga kapatid nya ipinangalan pwede kop po ba sabihin yun sa court? and in the event na talagang di sya magtrabaho since may family business sila pwede ko po ba iask sa court na dun kunin ang pang support sa baby namin..pls help me po atty..

in my experience, you still have to get a lawyer to represent you. i did the same kase for some reason wala akong makuhang lawyer, even to the last minute...when i went to pao they told me na hindi ako qualified kase may work ako (english tutor), hello? ang kinikita ko lang don is nasa 6K a month pero since hindi nga ako indigent hindi ako qualified for a free lawyer, sakit diba?

kung nasa abroad sya, go to poea tapos mag file ka don sa family division nila, bring your marriage cert and birth cert ng baby mo.

experience ko lang po yan. maybe not relevant...i hope it gave you an idea.

you still need to get a lawyer to represent you, kase masama ang tama ng mukha ni judge sa akin nung nag appearance ako don, talagang hinanap nya yung "lawyer" ko...
