College Transcript discrepancy

My friend discovered that her College Transcript of Records is showing an erroneous course finished(BS Architecture), with her diploma showing the correct one(BS Interior Design). This came to light when she was accepted in Singapore and on the process of finalizing her documents. Back when she took board exam last year and passed, for some reason this did not surface. Now because of the discrepancy, the firm rejected her. What could be her best course of action, if there's any, if she desires to have some compensation from the school for the damages?
