Hi. My aunt sold my grandma’s house and lot without telling her half siblings. My grandma died in 1985, and the house and lot was sold in the 90’s.

My grandma told all her children that the house and lot goes to the youngest while the others get the farm land. Now my youngest aunt is chasing after the farm land, and she said she only had the right to sell the house and lot in Manila since it was her father who owned it, and she is the real child all others are just step –children.

All relatives have heard my grandma said that her youngest daughter will get the Manila house and lot and the others get the farm land.

It was fine that she sold the house and lot because that was my grandma said, but now that she has no money she is wants to get her share. The farm land has no title yet.

It was all verbal. Since she is chasing after the farm land… can all her siblings chase after the house and lot in Manila which she claimed she bought when grandma was still alive? Grandma died in 84, she sold the house and lot in the 90’s.

Grandma had 3 more children, there’s 4 of them, 2 is dead already, 1 of them is my father. I am taking care of the farm, and she wants to see me. I really dont feel like seeing her, she has a big mouth! I want to know my right.

Lets say she'll move and have the land relocated, do I pay her for that someday?

Please tell me what I need to know. Thank you very much.

The step children are the children of grandma and real granddad.

if grandma wanted to divide the properties in a certain way, her best move would have been to make a will. i assume all the siblings are legitimate children. that would mean all of them became equal co-owners of grandma's estate when she died.

the aunt could not validly sell the entire property because she did not own it entirely. that sale is valid only upto the share of the aunt and invalid as to the rest.

the siblings have to demand from the buyer and the aunt to return the property, failing which, they have to file a case in court to compel them to do so.
