Hi,

I just want to ask if a NON-STOCK, NON-PROFIT Educational Institution is automatically exempted from Income Tax?
or do they still need to submit requirement to the BIR to become exempted?

Pls. help.

Thank you

I don't know if it's automatic. I guess it ISN'T, because several other tax and registration things are NOT automatic Smile transfered between different officials, although it would be rather easy for the officials to maje it automatic... Sad

(IF I remember, interpreted and asume corect)

"Non-profit" mean the PURPOUSE isn't profit but idealistic.
Such organisations can still get profit (which PERHAPS is extemt from BUSINESS tax - I don't know if it is in Phils.)
Even if the ORGANISATION is extempt, it can still have PEOPLE working there with TAXABLE incomes,
