I am a trainee in Japan and im currently working for 9months now. In the Philippines me and my guarantors (parents) signed a contract that stating our agency is to send us to japan for 3years. Myy contract in my company is only one year. Now, im no longer planning to extend my contract with my company. And with regards to my agency, i was under a study now pay later program. I am paying that amount every month. I still have a balance though.
my question is, in the event i decide to go home after just a year, to what extend can my agency make me liable? Should i only pay my remaining balance? Or is there any law in the Philippines stating a fix amount regarding breach of contracts?
