Hi Attorney,

Just a question on verbal agreement. Me and wife is looking for a house to rent. We found one and we agreed to the owner verbally and thru SMS messages that we will rent her house. We agree to meet on tuesday to sign the contract and settle the deposit and advance.

However, change of minds/heart happens... We found another house that's better and cheaper... We would like to backout from the prior house we agreed verbally/sms msgs. Are at fault/legally liable if backout? we haven't signed any document yet...

Thanks in advance.

yes po wala pa. However, not sure baka po kasi nagpagawa na ng contract yung owner. Hiningi na kasi details ng cedula ng wife ko for the contract. and yun nga po once we tell them na we want to cancel it. parang kakahiya po and ofcourse we expect na magagalit sila...
