I am an expat executive in the BPO industry. Approximately one year ago I was placed on suspension for non-performance in my role - and specifically for working from home without permission.
I readily admit that my performance at work was not what it had been previously, and I saw a psychiatrist regarding what was making me unable to perform.
I was diagnosed with Major depressive disorder. Upon explaining this to my employer I was fired.
Is this a legal dismissal?
