I am a us citizen i was divorced but remarried now my current husband and i are trying to purchase (obtain bank loan) in the philippines would my previous marital status affect it since there is no divorce in philippines? I was married in the us and got the courts grant an absolute divorce.

I dont think your formal marital status is material to your applying for a loan obligation. After all, as you said you are a US Citizen.

May I ask, you re-married in the Philippines?
