Hi everyone!

My friend entered into a contract with the duration starting June 9, 2014 to October 31, 2014. Under the contract, there is a "no work no pay policy". However, after the signing of the contract, the employer VERBALLY informed him that he can only do the job from October 1-31 due to conflicts in the company. This was accepted by my friend also verbally. On the day of the release of his salary only for the dates where he actually did the job, the accounting department is now questioning why will the company pay him since he did not do the job in the duration stated in the contract. PLEASE help on this case. Thanks in advance

Your friend worked for those dates so he is entitled to the salary for the period.

Is there any provision of law that guides this case. Thanks for the response!
