Hi!

I am aware that undertime cannot be offset by overtime, however if the employee agrees will that be okay?

Also when id the right time to deduct undertime?, let's say an employee has a fixed salary but since he doesnt have anything left to do na he was told to go home earlier, should we deduct the undertime? or should we offset his overtime if he file one?

Thanks!

1. No agreement will make it okay.
2. If employee is told to go home earlier, it's not his fault or decision, so he should not be penalized for it. No OT offset.

May I ask po kung this applies to BPO companies as well?

Ah BPO. Generally it should apply to all, but there are situations wherein the strict interpretation of "no work, no pay" clause may apply.

point taken sir, but "no sale" doesn't necessarily mean "no work", we try to sell, but due to factors beyond our control, i.e. "2 no's and a go policy", "non-rebuttal state policy", "brand's customer satisfaction rating", "pricing", etc, we end up having zero sale conversion...besides, 2 hours of zero output doesn't necessarily mean you will end up having zero for the day, right? we are also regular employees, if that even means anything.
