i am assuming you are for the side of the employee

there is no prescribed format for a position paper. what is important is that you are able to establish the facts showing an employer-employee relationship and the events that led to the dismissal. clearly identify the documents that you are submitting. make sure it is verified and notarized.

i normally add a discussion of the issues and legal principles involved and a prayer.

of course, but it is not necessary. the most important part is the facts and evidence.
