I come across your website to seek for legal advice on changing our family name - for myself, my husband and my daughter. We are legally married and so our daughter is legitimate with all our birth certificates, marriage contract, passports all under my husband surname. Our surname connotes a negative meaning being a Tagalog word, my husband and I decided to start asking on procedure to change surname,. My daughter is just 3 years old and we are hoping we can do this by the time she start proper schooling at about 5 y/o. I am not sure how long this process takes, how much it cost and the procedure & required documents. I hope you can provide me an advice so we start doing it.
