Convert & married again

Hi there. I am malaysian muslim lady. I have a filipino bf. He is married but already seperated (not legally) with his wife long time ago. Now he work in malaysia and want to stay here. I want to know if he can get married again without any trouble if he convert to islam. For your information, in our country, any christian married man, if he convert to islam, he can take another wife. And the first marriage will void. So, how about the law in your country. Can he married again after convert? How about the status of his christian wife? If he going back to philippines to visit his kids and family, he will not charges for aldutery? he can be charged with bigamy but it will have to be under malaysian law.
