my american us citizen bf and her Ex wife filipina got 1st married in us then 2nd married in philippines, after 5 years they got divorce in us. they are both us citizen, and my american bf want to marry me here in philippines, kailangan p bang iparecognized ang divorce nya sa court here at philippines?

hello po again, my american us citizen were planning to got married on july 2013, the problem is he is married here in the philippines with her ex filipina wife and divorce in us.
Question : free po ba syang ikasal ulit dto sa pinas? kailangan pa bang mag file xa ng recognition divorce s rtc or get nalang po xa ng certificate of marriage sa us embassy? thanks atty. makulit lang po:)

same answer as above. if he wants no risk, then he should have the divorce recognized in court, or get married outside the the ph.

if they think there is no risk of anyone filing a bigamy case against them, then they can proceed at their own risk.
