For many of them, the bar is the validity of their claim of their dreams, for some, vindication against those who judged them, those who told them that they cannot do it, those naysayers, those doubters, those whose only day under the sun is the day they judged some of these examinees because they themselves cannot even survive the 1st year in law school.
Whatever your intentions are in taking the bar exams, keep in mind that this is your shining yet humbling moment. Do not be afraid of the questions, the examiners should be the ones who should be afraid because God only knows what kind of answers you will give them. After the exams, do not fear the results, it should be the SC who should be afraid because they don't know what you are capable of doing should you not find your name in the passers' list. Seriously, keep in mind that success will not come to those who are too afraid to take the risk of losing. Should you fail, just keep moving forward. As I said before PUP Law in 2012, the bar exams is not just a test of your knowledge of the law, but also a test of character and human spirit. How you will deal with whatever the results will be, is a gauge as to how you can move forward.
To all my friends who are about to take this year's exams, this is a culmination of everything you've worked for in law school; the days of having to stay up late studying while your friends are partying are about to be over; the pain of losing relationships for the study of law will finally be justified. Enjoy the moment, this is yours. See you all at the Roll!
