Hi,

I would just like to seek legal action and recommendation on what to do if the Organizer of the Seminar is not replying on the status of request for a refund. The scenario is this, we have registered on a certain seminar dated Aug 3, the organizer did not update us that it was postponed and cancelled, i just only knew because I called them first. With that, the management decided to just get the our payment and ask for a refund. They allow refund and confirmed it thru phone conversation. The resched the seminar on the last week of Aug, unfortunately the management was no longer interested so we still insist the refund. And the rescheduled seminar was still moved on the following month for the 2nd time. That is why the management just really wanted the refund because they seems to be so unreliable. The Organizer just told us that they are just waiting for their boss to sign our check (the refund payment). Then came the date of final resched of the seminar, the organizer talked to our finance and confirmed the payment though he was still convincing us to attend. Now, we haven't heard any from the organizer, they are not replying to our email and calls. what is the best thing to do? please help us. thanks.

/I suppouse you are not stationed in same baranggay as them. Otherwice you can go to baranggay "court".
/Make a small claim case.

BUT write to the Organizer first and say you are GOING to do that if they don't pay within (e g 7 days). Perhaps that's enough to make them pay, so you don't need to start the legal process Smile

Btw - have they told why they didn't follow the origin scedule?
