Hi. Need advice please. My son was born in 2008. Before giving birth I and my partner separated due to some indifferences. When I gave birth I put N/A on the ffather's section. Few years after, we've settled our problems and decided to live together with our child. The big problem now is my son is illegitimate. Please let us know what to do. My son's father wants to acknowledge his paternity.

Thank you.

If at the time the child was born, you and the father had NO legal impediment to marry, your subsequent marriage would legitimize the child. After your wedding, execute an Affidavit of Legitimation then submit this to the Civil Registrar where the birth was registered.
