dear sir/mam,
i just want to know if a certain barangay can impose pay parking along public road to private vehicles? A barangay in qc is imposing 25 pesos parking fee, they give receipts but it just a piece of paper, with the amount and certain parking regulations, which i dont think is an official receipt. They are also charging a 50pesos overnight fee, but the problem is they can't show me a document that states a fee for an overnight parking. Thank you, hope you can help me clear things up.

I have no idea what the Philippine tax officials say about such receipts.

Yes, baranggays can decide having parking fees. (In my home country almost all have such fees in cities and in other places where many want to park.)
Do you mean the baranggay can't show a document where they DECIDE to have such fees?
Otherwice I don't see anything illegal with their acts.

(I lost a case where I got a punishment fee early in a morning when visiting my sister, I argued they had to short maximum time to pay in the mashine, having to go out to add money late in evening to avoid have paid to short, which I found unfair demand, BUT it made they changed the mashines to longer Smile
