Please Advise! Illegal Parking right infront of our Commercial Space

We own a commercial space right along a very busy road (right along main thoroughfare somewhere in metro manila). The problem is, this certain "ill-mannered" neighbor always parks his vehicle everyday, the whole day, right in front of our commercial space, causing blockage to potential customers and covering our facade. We tried to calmly talk to this neighbor who has also a commercial space adjacent to us, to park his vehicle infront of his own space, but he refused to do that and came up with different reasons, he too doesn't want his own space covered by his own vehicle. We decided to consult our barangay officials to seek help, but instead he got mad and started to shout at them, the barangay did nothing on this matter.

What should we do to refrain him from regularly parking at the parking space along the road infront of us, so that potential customers can see our facade fully, and also to provide parking to our own customers.

We don't want trouble sana, but this "siga" neighbor is really affecting our business. Please advise us on how to handle this situation. Is there any gov't agency we can seek out for help? May karapatan ba kaming paalisin ang nakaparking na sasakyan sa harap ng commercial space namin kahit sa kalsada na itong parking space, dahil sa nablo-block ang aming facade at mga potential customers?[/b]

merely consulting the barangay was not sufficient. i recommend you file an actual complaint at the barangay so that there will be a proper proceeding.

can you try putting a sign in front stating reserved for your customers? if you have your own car, park it there to keep him out.

Do we have a right to put the said sign, considering that the parking space involved is part of the public road along the main thoroughfare, but only right infront of our facade with 2-meter wide sidewalk.
What should we do if he removed the said sign only to provoke us into a fight, because this arrogant person seems to be capable of doing it.

technically no, you have no rights to claim the street as your personal parking slot. but there is also no prohibition to putting up that sign. i take it that this is not a 'no parking' area? do your customers normally have their own vehicles?

don't engage him if he wants a fight. take a video and pictures if he does something to the sign.

still, your better recourse is to courteously negotiate with him directly. if that fails, then the barangay lupon is your option. i recommend you keep everything civil regardless of how irritating it can be. remember, you will still be business neighbors.

I just have a similar problem like this, our neighbor park his decaying car in front of our house, i already ask them politely to remove it but to no avail its still there. So now I have an inoperative and slow decomposing vehicle to gaze upon every time I look out my window and/or leave from/return to my home. (Did I mention the flat tire and cobwebs on the tires from sitting?) I'm avoiding confrontation, is there any other way to make them remove their junk. Is there any city or barangay ordinances that says anything about this?

you'll have to ask your city and bgy if there are.

try going to your city's traffic management or equivalent and inquire about their policy about permanently parked vehicles
