A friend of mine borrowed money from the bank using my name and also my check. I would just like to inquire what neccessary steps I could take to ensure that if ever something wrong happends it would be my firend who would face the consequences and not me. Thanks.

if you gave the check willingly and signed as co-maker, the bank can run after you, and you can run after your friend
