Hello I am a USA citizen aged 64 and I have a Filipina fiance' aged 53. In 2 years we will both retire and I plan on going to the Philipnnes to marry her then (I have visited her already twice) and stay in the Philippines. I have a misdemeanor sexual assault non-specified conviction from 10 years ago when I was an active alcoholic (sober now 10 years) and no negative police contact before or after that time. Will I be denied a long term non-immigrant visa to live in the Philippines?
Thanks for any help/advice
Bill

Most country only verifies 10 years back records! You should be alright. If you don't try you'll never know your luck, as immigration officers will not even give you any advice for that sort of inquiry. They will only look at your situation if you can afford to live for a long term in the Philippines, they have to know if you have a regular income or pensions to support while you are living there.
