tanong ko lang po kung okay lang na iba iba yung policy for different employees for same leave benefits?

may leave po kami every month binibigay na pwede mag accumulate. sa department namin kahit adequate yung leave balance at justifiable at pinayagan ng management yung leave max of 5 days lang per quarter yung allowed, pag lumagpas nagbibigay sila ng penalty sa attendance performance na zero.
and they used this performance rating as basis for termination during cases na sobra yung staff. or to deny employees other benefits na base sa performance.
sa ibang department wala naman silang penalty katulad sa amin so kahit 6 days sila leave pwede pa rin passing yung rating nila.

note po na yung leave benefits are applicable to all employees as a priviledge regardless of department . at nung na hire kami wala naman sinabi noon na using the leave benefits at certain number of times ay mabibigyan kami ng penalty sa attendance performance na rating na zero

Dears, suggestion lang better to chek your company policy/manual regarding this matter. dapat documented or my basis sa implementation nito. doon mo nachechek kung nakasaad sa policy nio ang implementing rules and regulations nio regarding leave and also failure to follow or violation sa policy na yun dapat hanapin mo din kung ano yung grounds or penalty. kapag sinabi kasi na company policy dapat documented and clear sa employees yun kapag walang basis ang implementation nila then you can raised this to labor.

last quarter lang po ito implement (jan to mar 2013)

reason nila they want to "reward" yung mga employees na hindi nag aavail ng leave. i'm fine with that. kaya lang sa department lang namin inimplement.
this put us at great disadvantage over sa ibang employees as we are more susceptible to failing performance rate, lost of performance based benefits, and more prone sa termination.

before that we don't suffer from such penalties.

what are the grounds in disapproving vacation leaves? having absences in the previous month can be a ground to disapproved our vacation leaves?

its not disapproval per se. iits giving penalty on you performance rating (this have a great impact on career growth, and job securities) pag ginamit mo yung leave benefits mo at certain extent no matter how legitimate yung leave.

meaning, pwede nila i approve yung leave mo (sick leave and vacation leave) kahit lagpas sa 5, pero automatic babagsak ka sa attendance performance rating. wala ako problema dun, kaso sa department lang namin nag impose ng ganung rule. so basically parang discriminated kami compared sa ibang employee who can enjoy yung same benefits without penalty.
