Hi, I just want to ask, is it legal, because most of the I.T position has no O.T pay. For e.g I'm working as software developer, our company does not pay our overtime, instead we received a compensatory time off.

Compensatory Time Off. For example, I worked 12 hrs in a day, then it means that I have a 4 hours extension which is not paid BUT, I can use that the next day if I want to work less that 8 hours because I already have a 4 hours COMPENSATORY TIME OFF. Parang off set yata yung tawag ng iba dito eh.

as far as i know, di pwede i offset ang overtime. Smile

you can't offset OT with undertime because the rate of pay is different.

What I know about CTO, dapat ang level niyo sa contract ay at least supervisor. Pero kung ranking file ang level mo entitle ka sa OT pay beyond 8 hrs.

CTOs are only for OT rendered by TLs, Sup at Managers.

If papipiliin m ako. SWERTE ka na me CTO kayo kasi walang TAX yun. Kung ipupush mo ang OT pay mo, e mapupunta lang sa tax mo yun. So, take the CTO instead. Parang VL na rin yan. Get all the documentations for the approved CTOs.

i have office mates. na na-foforced OT sila because of work naman kasi may hinahabol silang deadline. pero ok lang ba un kung ganito ung scenario?
Thursday 9:00am to 6:00pm(regular working hours). then nag OT sila hanggang 10:00pm
Friday 9am to 6pm then nag OT sila hanggang Saturday(Rest Day) 6pm. 32hours work? tas wala man lang silang natatanggap na meal allowance pero bayad naman yata un. kaso ang sabi nila parang counted as OT lang un? wala bang night differential un?

work done after 10pm dapat may night differential.. which is additional 10%.. iba din dapat computation pag patak nang Saturday kung rest day nila yun..
