I am trying to sponsor a friend for a visitor's visa here in Canada. However, he has been filed with an estafa case/BP case 10 years ago and i think he has a pending warrant of arrrest because he failed to attend his hearings before, can he still travel outside the country as a tourist? The case did not prosper and he is not sure of the current status of the case filed anymore. Not sure also if he has a criminal record in NBI. He refuses to obtain his NBI clearance because he's worried that if there's a warrant against him they might arrest him right then and there. Will he be automatically detained and arrested by the immigration officers at the airport? Can hold departure order/ watch list last for more than 10 years? Need your advice badly . Thanks so much.
