Hi all lawyers,

I would like to ask if there is a specific law regarding taxes for consultants. I am currently a consultant and I am being deducted 15% tax, I'm not sure if this is proper so I need help from our experts. I'm the one remitting my sss, pagibig and philhealth but not the taxes

Cheers!

IF your are earning 720k annual your EWT will be 15% and if it is 720k below EWT will be 10% as per our practice.

Hi CaseLogic,

Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I have a follow up question regarding the tax. Most consultants I know are deducted with only 2% tax, how is this possible?

Thanks again

Cheers

2% is for prime contractors or sub-contractors.
If you are professional, earning 720k above then it should be 15% EWT.

Thanks again for the quick response! I am a IT contactor for a multinational company. My name even has a contractor appended in the end. Does that make me fit for the 2% tax?
