Dog bite, dog owner refuses to pay

Magandang gabi po.

First year college student po ako dito sa Baguio (i'm not living with my parents), ang nangyari po kaninang hapon around 2 pm po, sinamahan ko ung classmate ko sa boarding house nila to get her pe t-shirt. Ung aso po kasi is nakatali sa papasok sa hallway, eh di ka talaga makakadaan na hindi siya malalalampasan. Nung papasok po ok pa naman po, di naman siya nagalit o anuman pero nung palabas na kami, hinarang nga ka-klase ko ung aso para makadaan ako. Pero ewan ko ba at naabutan niya ako kaya nakagat ako sa lower left leg ko. Ginawa naman po namin is pumunta agad kami sa clinic ng school namin, then sabi ng doctor pumunta sa health center. Pumunta naman po ako pero ako nalang kasi may pasok pa kami. May mga pinafill-up sakin (details ng dog bite), tapos un, pinagbayad po ako ng 205, supposed to be 410 pero wala nga akong perang dala. Then ininject'an na po ako ng anti-rabies. Pagkabalik ko po ng school, sabi po ng teacher ko during that period, uwi na daw ako pero kinuha ng kaklase ko na nagbo-board sa boarding house ng may asong nakakagat sakin ung resibo and schedule ng pagbalik ko sa health center para kausapin niya daw ung landlord nila.
Tapos ngaun ngaun lang po nagtext siya sa'kin saying : "Miles kamusta kana? Ui alla paano yn ;( sbe nung landlord namin d niya dw bbyaran un tapos pinagalitan pa ako. kse bt daw aq nagddla ng bcta. Masama kse ugali nun basta pagtungkol sa pera mukhang pera kse un"

So di ko na po alam next na gagawin ko...Patulong naman po

Well ang mga boarding house ay para lang sa mga boarders since na hindi ka naman nila boarders wala silang pananagutan sa yo! kasi nga strangers ka sa aso nila kaya hindi ka pa kilala! Ang mga boarder ay may pinanghahawakang contract, tanungin mo sa kaklase mo kung merong nakalagay na bawal ang bumisita at kung meron man may timing yun sila! I used to live in a boarding house during time in university and visitors are strictly prohibited in a boarding school. if and when something happen like for instance your case! the landlord is not responsible for that because his dog did not bite you outside their house! You are not known to their dog so the dog bit you! Hindi mo pwedeng kasuhan ang landlord baka ikaw pa ang makasuhan dahil hindi ka naman boarder at hindi ka allowed to enter their premises therefore you are tresspassing! Just charge it to experience! afterall you only spent 205 Pesos kesa naman mabaliw ka kapag di ka naturukan ng anti rabies!

and hindi lang po ung 205 pesos ung hinahabol ko po pati po ung next two sessions (3 shots per session). ung isa pong session is 410 so bale 820 po ung babayaran lahat lahat.Sa tingin ko po kasi hindi tama 'tong nangyayari na ayaw akong tulungan ng may-ari... I don't know...and ung "friend" ko na boarder dun, she's convincing me na wala daw rabies ung aso and that i should discontinue ung shots ko...so parang labas nito, ako ung naagrabyado nila, ayaw pa nila akong tulungan..

prevention is better than cure, importante maturukan ka ng anti rabies kasi kahit na cno pang nurse yan o doctor ang tumingin pag huli na eh wala rin. tsaka pagkakaalam ko hindi nurse ang tumitingin dyan although me alam sila, dapat doctor. anyways insist on the anti rabies shot para cgurado.

The issue here is that her classmate is the only boarder in that boarding house and not her! you cannot say the landlord is liable for this incident and there's no neglegence involve here from the landlord side as he does not expect her to be in his premises! usually boarding houses has visiting time, more likely her classmate is responsible for bringing her. The dog is inside the building not outside and off its leash! therefore, she has no ground to sue the lanlord!
Your treatment is necessary so you should not missed a shot! Unfortunately you cannot get any penny of the landlord, I'm afraid!

So is it only right na ung classmate ko po ung managot sa mga medical fees ko?

Yup! don't believe her when she says her landlord is responsible for it! She brought you there in the first place without informing the landlord so its her fault! She should pay all your expenses! Tell her so so she can avoid being taken to the Baranggay!

Salamant po, i told her na kailangan ko talaga ituloy ung shots ko and that she should help me. Dami nga lang rason etc. parang gusto niyang iwasan ung gastos. Nakakatawa nga sinabi niya baka ma-overdose daw ako sa anti-rabies kung nagpapa-inject ako na hindi naman daw ako infected. Whats annoying pa nga is kino-consult niya ung mga hindi pa certified na nursing boardmates niya and asks me to believe them na hindi nga daw ako infected. Arghhh... Really thanks so much

Don't listen to her! there's no such thing as overdosed with anti-rabies! She is just trying to get away with the resposibility. It is safer for you to complete the doze as doctor told you! better to be safe than sorry! tell your classmate that she is responsible for all the expenses if she refuses tell her you will file a complain against her! You'll see, she'll do everything to help you! Do not believe her excuses, nurses are not as knowlegeable as doctors.

just advice lng. una. nasa bakuran naman nung may ari nung dogie yung dogie nya. so i dnt see a point na sagutin ka nila kc ikaw ang pumasok sa bakuran nila. anyway, wag mong bale walain ang dog bite. some of the expert at madalas nating marinig ang salitang "pito-pito" when we hear the word rabbies. it means may mga rabies na umaatake agad in just 7 days, like nung kapit bahay ko. nakagat ng aso sa paa. in just 1 week nilagnat na at isinugod na sa san lazaro, nag lalaway at nalulunod sa hangin. then. ayun na. (peace be upon him) another is sa kapit bahay ng bayaw ko. nilagnat at same din ng karaniwang symptoms ng dogbite. pero hndi naman dw ito nakagat ng aso. but sa san lazaro after they study the case in history. for around 7 months ago pla eh may sinipa itong aso sa kalsada and accident na tumama ang teeth nung aso sa paa nya. but he just ignored it. so after around 7 months? ayun umatake na ang rabies. same din sa ilang episode ng jessica soho about dog bites. may 7 days, 7 months at 7 years na namamahinga ang rabirs sa katawan ng tao./ after this pito-pito maximum of 7 years? saka lng may type ng rabies na gumgigising mula sa pag himlay ng ilang taon sa katawan ng nakagat. sinabi ko to sayu just for you not to ignored this dog bite. so betetr to go to hospitals and clinics and let them give you anti rabbies. ako nga nakagat din ng aso. pero nag pa inject na ako. but since wla png 7 years ang lumilipas, nalampasan ko naa ng 7 days, 7 weeks at 7 months, since wla pa ang 7 years? im stil kip on praying pa din:( anyway

try mo i lapit sa brgy ang scenario. kc brgy matter ang mga ganyang isue. "ASO MO-ITALI MO"

raheemerick! I already explained that to her! the landlord is not responsible because the dog is inside his premises and she is the one who get in to their premises! She already know what to do!
