evidence of loan agreement

I lent a former friend some money to help him in his financial difficulties
and responsibilities for his family. The only agreement of the loan was verbal
and through text messages, however the money I lent him was via money transfers like
Cebuana,Western Unions so I have records of these and files all of documents. I sent money everytime he asked
me favors coz I was able to lent him with generosity. I sent money more or less 5000 in a month and it took for 2 and a half
year of doing this transactions … he owe me almost 100000 plus the charges I paid it for every money
transfer based on my kept records . I didn’t hear from him when he will able to pay his debts coz he
did nothing to pay his obligations to me and he didn’t save our friendship and stop sending money for him.

Could anyone advise me what my chances are of winning my claims? I’d rather to
go to the court or not? Can i recover all of these money? It is proper to go barangay first and give summons for him or i go directly to the private lawyer?

if you are living in the same city, you should go to the bgy first. if not send a demand letter.

you have evidence of giving him money. your testimony will serve as proof that it was a loan. don't ask re chances because that depends on what you and the other party can prove. good luck.
