Im still a minor is there a possibility that I can I get married when I present a parents consent?

I need help. I just want to know if I can be married at the munisipyo even if im underage. Will the judge accept a parents consent?
We are both 16 . Is there any chance that we could get married?

NO marriage shall be solemnized for a woman below 18 and a man below 21 even there is parental consent for reason of lack of the ESSENTIAL REQUISITES of marriage. Violation of this shall become the marriage "void ab initio" or void from the beginning.

You have to wait for your marriageable age to be solemnized.

You cannot marry. Wait until 18, dont get in a hurry. kayo rin ang magkaproblema nyan in the end.

The Judge will NEVER accept your parents consent, because if he do so, then, bka bukas wala na syang trabaho, dis-bar na sya, tanggal pa sya sa sala nya.

Is there any chance? WALA tlaga, and wag kana humirit, kung makalusot ka man, magkakaproblema ka rin sooner or later. Better wait until you reach 18 yrs of age, that is the legal age to marry in the Philippines.

If you really insist, then VOID yang kasal nyo, either sa huwis or sa simbahan.

clarification. 18 pa lng yung guy that time. which is we all knw naman na 21 ang legal age ng isang lalake para mka pag pakasal. if ever. void din ba yung kasal nila na yun? it happen in 1999?

CORRECTION: For purposes of marriage, legal ages of both man and a woman must be at least 18 provided needs parental consent.

maam adel. that was 1999 po/ yung guy ang 18 years old that time.. sure po it is void from the very begining? sure po talaga? di nga? well thanks to god if wlang bisa ang kasal nila? kc if thats the case? mag file na lng kami ng petition for nulity or void ng kasal nila? and aside from that is almost 7 or 8 years napo sila wlang comunication even a sngle word. sure po tlga maam adel? wlang bisa yun? sure talaga? di nga po? sure talaga????

Lets trace back the history.

The civil code which took effect in 1950's so provides that the marrying age for a guy is 21, however, this pronouncement has been amended and impliedly modify the marrying age, which effectively lowers the age from 21 to 18 for a guy and still 18 for a girl. This is due to the introduction of the Family code, and the same took effect in 1988.

Be guided that, as a rule, it is the LAW which is enforceable and effective at the time of solemnization of marriage will govern their marital status as well their property regime.

Be that the case, therefore, since the facts states that they were married in 1999, then, the Family code will apply, considering the effectivity date of such code, likewise, as to the status of their marriage, their marriage is VALID having attained the age of majority at the time of their marriage. This is without prejudice to any essential and formal requisites as provided by the code.

Marriage is a SPECIAL COntract between a man and a woman, Thus, it characterized as PERPETUAL , FOREVER. unless and until Declared as annulled or nullified by the court.

Ingat ka, baka matamaan ka ng adultery or concubinage dyan. Kinakasama mo pla yung may asawa na..tsk tsk.
