hi,

Kindly help me out, my cousin is from the province of nueva ecija, born in 02/13/94 he was late registered by the father on 06/06/00 and he placed "not applicable" on the mother's name since they are already separated. What can we do to correct this so he can have a BC from NSO and have a better chance in landing a job/school. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Question: Is your cousins father and mother were legally married?

If yes, then, file a petition for correction of entry, in the place were your cousin was registered.

If not, then, leave it alone.

i assume that there is actually a birth certificate;therefore the proper remedy is petition for correction of entry
