Arresto Menor

Can foreign banks can claim my unpaid loans made in a foreign country through their local bank. What are the banks possible legal actions if I will not be able to pay?
I have a loan in Qatar, last 2004, a person came to claim for the loan in the Philippines. Is this legal?

Loans in Middle East are insured up to QR100,000 depends on how much you owe! They cannot pass on your loans to your local bank unless you made the arrangement! But if you exited Qatar already, they cannot chase after you anymore! I said this because I have the same case and after 3 years I went back to Qatar and my loans are no longer an issue! But you should not go back there before 3 years! Wink

Who is this person claiming for the loan payment? How did this person find you? Is he Qatari? Maybe he/she is just trying to get the money of you but will not really pay off your loan back in Qatar! You already left Qatar no way! they should claim loans after 8 years and if it is less than the insured amount!

I want to ask as I had a loan too from Qatar, they told me that my name
is all over the Gulf countries, is that true after 3 years your name is deleted?
I will be much obliged if somebody can help, and give the correct advise

Hi! I used to work in Middle East I have lots of colleague who has loans and left the country but work to another part of Middle East like Saudi. Although they had loans they were not banned! Loans particulary in Middle East are insured up to QR/SR/Dhs/Riyals 100,000. unless you owe them more than that then they are likely to chase after you!
