Salary on Hold

Hi Atty,
Question po, I filed a resignation last dec 03, 2012 and my last day is on Jan 01, 2013
But then I received a Acknowledgement Receipt of my resignation letter ( pero hindi ko pa po pinipirmahan yon Acknowledgement Receipt from management ) indicated that my salary covering period of December 03 until Jan 01,2013 and other monetary benefits shall be witheld and shall be released only after the final clearance from the company is issued.

Tama po ba ito?
meaning po wala ako salary ng december 15 and 30th
do they the right to hold my salary for december 2012
e pumapasok pa po ako everyday.

unfortunately, it's a common practice which has been upheld.

i recommend you inquire now what are the steps to be undertake so you should have a quick clearance and start doing them now.
