i have unpaid obligations from loans and credit cards abroad

i have unpaid obligation from loans and credit cards abroad in UAE. Recently, a law firm contacted me to settle my obligations... since i am now here in the Philippines... and i already lost my job abroad due to economic recession, i am unable to pay it...

Help me to know remedies if the bank-ceditors will sue me for recovery of unpaid obligations... what are my remedies?

Do they have jurisdiction to institute criminal action even if Im already here in the Philippines or can our courts have the jurisdiction to try this case....

I am now insolvent with no properties here in the Philippines... what am i going to do????

I have heard that it is considered a crime not to pay a debt in UAE. I can't speak for their laws, but definitely the same is not true here.
