Arresto Menor

My shop was robbed and lost my client's laptop in my shop. I told her we will replace her a laptop but not the same as her lost laptop. but she refused and ask me instead to pay for it. She also threat me to file a demand.

I know its our negligence that we lost her laptop but nobody wants to be a victim of theft. Do we have a right to refuse to pay it and have it replaced? Or there's no way we can do but to follow her demand to pay her laptop in cash?
