unpaid salary loan from a bank

Hi! I applied for a salary loan way back 2008... requirement ng bank na magsign ng postdated checks issued by the same bank na nagpapaloan.... I was paying it for 5 months tapos nagkaroon po ng financial crisis... It was sent to their credit and collection tapos year 2009 nagbayad po ako ng 10k ulit, from 40k na loan naging 161k na... Nasa abroad po ako ngayon and collectors are threatening na magfile daw sila ng case sa court tapos pauuwiin daw nila ako.... Just want to know if this is true? Do they think na mababayaran ko sila kung pauuwiin nila ako sa Plipinas? hope to hear from you soon...thanks
