atty. Id like to ask what are the right of the father over a child, i am married and with a 6 year old son, we are separated for 3 yrs and she has filed annument with over a year already in court.
id like to ask what are the rights of a father in protection to R.A 9262 as currently she is aware of the law and has tendency to abuse it since she is provoking me to such acts against her so she can execute the R.A. she is now asking support from me though when we separated i left over 2 million persos to her cash and assets for the purpose of support to the child. since she learned that i landed in a high paying job, she asking me absurd amounts of cash saying it support for the child. she threatens to file a case for child support based on RA 9262 which will mandate my company to send her 50% gross of my earnings to her.

Some are asking even more, to the point na wala nang matira sa lalaki. in case of child support, kung hindi ka naman nagkukulang ng support para sa kanila you dont have to worry. just keep the proof that you are sending it regularly. RA 9262 is a big pain for husbands. Most of the time inaabuso ng mga babae na gustong hubuan ang asawa or i-black mail ang lalaki.
