Arresto Menor

Hello,
My spouse has borrowed money from a "friend". We ran into trouble paying off the principle P50000.00 and have been paying 12% intrest for about 5 years. At P17000.00 a month for 4 years = P816000.00.
I just found out about all of this and need to know what legal rights she/we have.
