Hi,

Here's the summary of the concern:
We have paid in cash some amount of the property and the rest will be thru bank loan. We have signed the deed of sale and the seller has transferred the property's name to me. The bank was about to release the remaining payments to the seller to which I requested to hold off. The reason behind this was the sales agent said the area does not get flooded but 2 weeks after I moved in I experienced flood right outside the property. I also learned from the neighboorhood that my property gets flooded even during slight rains.

Can we cancel the contract and claim damages/refunds of all fees we have incurred due to this wrong information given to us?

No. But you can sue the agent.
