Arresto Menor

dear Atty,

I need your advice. Six years ago, I signed a trust receipt to sell jewelries and havent returned the goods because of customers didnt pay and me in a very bad predicAment that time used the money..but later on, i paid by installment half of the amount no matter how i explained to the trustor that im only a victim of someone who didnt pay for those jewelries, unfortunately natanggal sa trabaho but since ako ang nakapirma ako ang kinolektahan...its worth 100thous plus but I paid around half of the amount irregularly in six years time now theres a police handed a document to my mum she did not entertain because she is not involved and no knowledge about it,might be a notice of summons, shes not sure about. What she told me the debt now becomes 500thou pesos including interest. Thats very burdensome. i wouldnt be able to pAy that in my life. Since im overseas, a citizen of a foreign country now. unfortunately im now well off here, got no real job, as my husband as self employed doesnt give me a salary of my own no matter how i insist to get a job.
My query is, whats the consequence if i will not sign any legal doc,or any counter affidavit because i never sighted or received it? Is there a debt discharge when it comes to trust receipt default? Please I need your advice.
