An employee filed a vacation leave effective March 30, April 2-4, April 10-20, 2012. The company CBA stipulates that "all covered faculty and non-teaching staff shall be entitled to nineteen (19) calendar days vacation leave with pay for every year of service".
This year the declared holidays April 5-6 & April 9 and the Saturdays & Sundays (March 31, April 1, 14 and 15). The company advised the employee who filed the said leave that these dates will be charged against her leave credits, in keeping with the stipulation of "calendar days" in the college's CBA.
