nbi record

18 years ago (i was 25 years old and single at that time.), i met a friend who owed something to a certain company amounting to P200,000.i let him borrow my check amounting P200,000 because he said he will deposit money in my bank. but, sad to say, the check bounced and my account was closed. worst, i didn't find that guy anymore.
my question is..if that company filed a law suit against that guy, will i be held liable for the damaged he had done for that company? will my name appear on the nbi record? if so, how will i clear my name? i'm really bothered up to this time.i kept this problem to myself only.

why not just get your nbi clearance first to see if there is any case filed against you.

I got my nbi clearance this afternoon. i am cleared of any kind of lawsuit or whatsoever. Thanks to God Almighty.

I have just a big comment about our nbi system for clearance... they said that the new system now is already "hi-tech" daw... why is it that my name got "hit" and that same name that I have has a criminal case of "possession of illegal guns and ammo" last 1988. In order to clear my name, I filed an affidavit of denial right there and then.

here's my question...why is it that the complete name, age, finger print, picture, etc. of that person who committed a crime didn't appear in the nbi's record?

I told the nbi agent that it's true that we have the same first name and last name but different (middle names, ages, finger prints, pictures, weights, heights, etc.).the nbi agent told me that they don't have those kind of records.

why is that so?

Hi good Pm i just want to ask.. i have a pending case ryt now which is falcification of private documents (2 counts) is it a criminal case? and also we are undergoing hearing ryt now we are on the preliminary trial this comming april 24. i badly need to get an NBI clearance. do you think that case is already on my nbi? thanks....

lezter, yes it is a criminal case. if a warrant was issued before, it will be on our record.
