well, i filed it for my mom when she was still alive a decade ago, now that she's been dead for 2 years now, the check kept coming in her bank account. am i obliged to report her death to the SSS? is it my sole responsibility? am i liable now that they, the SSS, had put a money (summing up to 44,000 on my calculator)on my moms bank (also a gov't bank, PNB)?

i'm a farmer, i tend our family's lands in a remote island...i live a peaceful life...goin to the city aint an option for me...do they the SSS have legal grounds to sue me...go after me? 44,000 aint that big but yet it's is still money.

bro, its not your fault. you can even claim that money in the bank as a retirement pension of your mom. below 21 years of age who is a member of your family is still entitled to claim the sss benefits.

you can be sued for estafa if you don't fix it.
