good day,

SSS Pensioner - Deceased, relatives still receiving pension thru ATM

a person whose his father which is a sss pensioner but already died 2 years ago, but still receiving sss pension thru the deceased ATM.

- dapat bang isurrender yung ATM sa sss once namatay na ang pensioner?
- dapat bang inform sss ofc kapag namatay na ang pensioner?

hirap naman tumawag sa sss hotline laging busy.

yes, they can be charged with estafa for failure to report the death to sss and still claiming the pension. they can apply for the death benefit instead. failure to call the hotline will not excuse criminal liability. go to the SSS
