i would like to seek legal advice regarding grounds for disapproving and denying sick and vacation leaves.
i am a staff nurse on a government owned hosptal for 2 years. here is my case......i was absent for 1 day, i informed the supervisor hours prior to my shift that i will be absent, my supervisor acknowledge my prior notice. the following day, i reported immediately to work and submitted the sick leave form.upon my submission my supervisor said that it will be denied,and as a sanction for my absence request offs for the whole succeeding month will not be granted.
there are no rules or policies regarding this sanction on our policy manual.
recently, our nursing service office made a policy with no memo or whatsoever,policy verbally made that states that request offs will not be granted if: 1. absent during the following days specifically, friday, saturday, sunday, monday 2. failure to attend or absent during seminars
is it legal? anu po ba ang grounds para ideny ang sick and vacation leave.....
