I would like to seek advise on what to do with our landlord. We have finished a lease contract last Sept 2011. We have left the house with almost 30k debt for the utilities and 1/2 rent. The landlord held most of our things. A month has passed and we still have not yet paid our obligations. I closed my business and my husband got laid off from work. We are really really broke 
Our landlord has not stopped from ordering us to pay but we can not really borrow from anyone anymore especially these days (Christmas is near). We have things left in his property (costs more than what should be held). Are we supposed to pay or just let him have our furnitures etc? Please help we are so stressed out already. Would appreciate you response.
