The Other woman with children

Good evening,

Without much ado, I am the other woman living with a married man for 20 years. We have 3 children. This guy had long been separated from his wife, who is now living with another man in the US. He is doing well with his business that assures us of a comfortable life.

Life has been okay until recently, I found out that he bore another woman a son. This resulted to our big fight that made me decide to quit the relationship for good.

My questions are the following, which I sincerely hope you could shed light:

1. In the existence of our relationship, I made some money in Japan and the same was remitted to him because he assured me he can make it grow like putting it in the business. All the remittances were evidenced by receipts. Can I get back all the money I sent to him?

2. The house and lot plus the car are all under his name. He told me(verbally) he will give all these to me. Do I have the right to enforce it? If I do, how will it be done legally?

3. Lastly, what are my chances of securing my money back as well as the financial support of my children?

why oh why did you let him put it all in his name when you are not barred from including your name or just having it all in your name.

anyway, if i were your lawyer, i would begin with demand letters, then a case for reversion, by proving that the funds for the house were all provided by you.

An answer to the reply:

1. The real properties and the car were bought from his own pocket. However, for the sake of the childen, he promised he will give them to us. Is a Deed of Donation applicable?

2. The money remittances I sent was said to be used in the business. Are the demand letters be personally made by me or by a lawyer?

ahh. verbal donations are not enforceable and because you have no provable contributions to the house and car, you have no legal right to them.
