Threats thru Texting, Is this Evidence To Sue That Person?

Arresto Menor

A friend has threatened me through text that he will kill me. Can this be a basis to file a complaint against this person? I have dealt honestly with this person. Nagalit lang coz a frind of mine filed a civil case and barangay case against him and I think he's making me the scapegoat.

I received the text just this weekend and I plan to file tomorrow at our QC police station. Or should this be filed in court? barangay? Please help me with problem as I am gravely affected by this kind of threat.
