I just want to ask if we can sue someone for estafa.. my cousin who is a Japanese national and had a girlfriend who is a filipina.. He gave the girl about 2 Million pesos because she promised marriage to him but she stopped her communication with my cousin after that.. we have all the information of their family but they refuse to respond to us.. do we have a big chance of winning if we file an estafa case against her?

i would argue that it can be estafa under 'other deceits'
